Into the Wild Card

This card is mostly about cutting and gluing (or double-sided taping). It utilizes the small illustrated tags that were included in my cardstock pad. I'm keeping this design simple to showcase the fun outdoor themed paper. This would be perfect for Father's Day!

Setup:

I'm using another Echo Park Paper Company pad today. They offer a selection of affordable, themed cardstock pads that are fun to work with. This one is "into the wild" and is perfect for masculine cards.

I cut apart these tags to use on the front of my card. They measure 2" x 2" and I have mounted them onto a 2.25" x 2.25" square of brown textured cardstock. If you aren't working with the same Echo Park pad as me, you can always make your own embellishments using die cuts or buy something fun from a craft store.

I got this Father's Day set in an assortment of stamps that I purchased from Facebook Marketplace. I used my Ranger Archival Ink in black to stamp the sentiment.
Assemble Your Card:
It is important to properly align your picture squares. Since they are the only elements on the front of the card, if something is askew it will stand out.
I like to lay everything out before I start gluing. I also prefer working with Tombow MONO glue instead of a tape runner when I need elements to be super straight. If something is slightly off, I can get away with sliding the element ever so slightly to straighten things out before the glue bonds everything together. I started with the upper-left tile and then eyeballed the alignment of everything else off of that.
For the inside pattern and white square I used double-sided tape.
That's it! Now you're ready for Father's Day. JJ❀
