Potty Training Reward Chart Tutorial + Download

Today I'm sharing a project that is a bit different from my usual card tutorials! My daughter is currently potty training, and I decided to make her a potty training reward chart to give her a little extra motivation. Of course, instead of buying one, I turned this into a fun afternoon papercrafting project.

So far, she absolutely loves it! She earns one reward sticker for going pee and two stickers for going poop. (she also has to pull up her pants and wash her hands before she earns her sticker). Once the entire chart is filled, we'll celebrate with a special ice cream party!

I picked up some reward stickers from the dollar store, but something fun like these or these would be awesome!

Since she's a huge Paw Patrol fan, I also picked up these Paw Patrol fruit snacks as small treat and this Paw Patrol reward box for prizes. Honestly, I think one of her favorite parts is placing the stickers on the chart after a successful trip to the bathroom! The glittery poop at the top of the chart makes her laugh, too. I even added a pooping Elmo plush to her stuffed animal collection just for fun.

This project is easiest to make with a digital die-cutting machine. However, if you don't have one, you can simply print the reward chart and use it on its own. You could also print the template, trace the pieces onto cardstock, and cut everything by hand.

You Will Need:

One 12" x 12" sheet of cardstock for the background
Reward chart printed on an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper
Black, brown and white cardstock
Adhesive

Cut it out:

First you will want to cut out all of the pieces for the poop and lettering. A digital die cutter like a Cricut or Silhouette makes this step quick and precise.

No die cutter? No problem! You can print the pattern and use carbon transfer paper to trace the design onto cardstock, and then cut the pieces out by hand with scissors.

I opted for glitter cardstock to make this project extra awesome :)

Attach the Potty Chart and Text:

I used a bit of double-sided tape to attach the reward chart to my 12" x 12" cardstock. When she fills the page, I plan on taping a new one on top of the old one. Another great option is to use removable adhesive.
